Encanto occupies southeast San Diego east of I-805 and south of SR-94, a residential neighborhood wrapped around the Imperial Avenue, Euclid Avenue, and Paradise Valley Parkway corridors. It is bounded roughly by SR-94 to the north, Meadowbrook Drive and the 62nd Street residential edge to the east, Paradise Valley and the Skyline Drive hillside to the south, and the Lincoln Park boundary near Imperial Avenue and Euclid to the west. The 92114 zip code is one of San Diego's most affordable neighborhoods and one of its most diverse, with long-established African American and Latino communities alongside Southeast Asian, Somali, and East African families.
Emerald Hills sits in the northern section of Encanto, residential streets climbing from SR-94 up toward Chollas View. The Lincoln Park area borders the western edge. Trolley lines run along Imperial Avenue, connecting Encanto to downtown and the Blue Line south to San Ysidro.
Our yard on G Street is about 4 miles west of central Encanto. We reach it via SR-94 East to the Euclid Avenue exit, then south into the neighborhood, or via Imperial Avenue east directly from downtown. Average response time 14-20 minutes.
Encanto towing calls have a particular pattern: SR-94 interchange breakdowns at Euclid and at Valencia Parkway, Imperial Avenue commercial strip incidents, and residential dispatches to the hillside streets above SR-94 where older vehicles struggle with grades. Bilingual service is standard here, a meaningful portion of Encanto residents prefer Spanish and our dispatchers handle the language naturally.
