Truck Class 1 of 3
Flatbed Tow Trucks
Zero-wheel-contact transport. Manufacturer-recommended.
A flatbed, also called a rollback or car carrier, is a tow truck with a large, level platform that tilts hydraulically to the ground. Your vehicle is driven or winched onto the platform, then secured with soft straps and lifted off the ground completely. All four wheels ride on the platform. Zero wheel contact with the road surface.

Truck Class 2 of 3
Wheel-Lift Tow Trucks
Fast, efficient, and ideal for tight spaces.
A wheel-lift tow truck uses a metal yoke (cradle) that slides under the front or rear wheels of your vehicle and hydraulically lifts them off the ground. The opposing set of wheels remains on the road surface. The most common towing method for standard, short-to-medium distance tows, and the right tool for tight-space situations where a flatbed won't fit.
